"STARELLA" 1960 Hull This is the original bell from the famous fishing vessel "STARELLA" H219. 606 gross tons. J. Marr & sons, Fleetwood, England. Built as a fishing trawler for use in the far northern areas of the North Sea. Involved in the "Cod War" with Iceland. Sold in 1980 and used as an exploration vessel. She was the first vessel to locate the "Titanic" and served as a diving vessel for this adventure. This bell was removed in 1980 during a major reconstruction and never replaced, although she continued to sail under her now famous name "STARELLA" CATALOGUE No. 9321 Height 24cm, Diameter 30cm. "OXONIAN" Very rare genuine bell from "Oxonian" built in 1898. Ex "Pinemore". Purchased from Johnston Line in 1902 and renamed. One of only a few ships that was badly damaged by an iceberg. Arrived at St Johns 21st May with a hole in bow and holds flooded. Captain Thomas, owned by Fredrick Leyland who was a partner in Bibby Line and transferred from Wilson's & Furness-Leyland line in 1900. Transported 12th Field Co. of "Royal Engineers" to France 8/9/14. Scrapped in 1928. Rare and historic original bell. CATALOGUE No. 9515 Height 19cm, Diameter 21 cm. P.O.A.

"Kathleen & May" Built 1900. Wooden hull. three masted top sail schooner - Register of historic vessels UK. Built at Ferguson & Baird's yard at Connah's Quay, North Wales on the river Dee, for for John Coppack Brothers. 365 tons. Purchased in 1908 by Martin J. Fleming of Yougal and named after his daughters. Starting in 1998, she had a complete restoration back to her original 1900 build specifications. Height 20, cm Diameter 20cm P.O.A. |
